Glenys Carl

Ms. Carl began her care giving career with the unfortunate mugging of her son Scott, an incident that occurred while he was away at University in Sydney, Australia.  Left severely brain injured and without insurance to cover the cost of care, Glenys managed to recruit over 400 volunteers in Australia and later in England to help her care for Scott until he died in 1990.  Glenys came to Santa Fe in 1991 and worked as a hospice nurse at the height of the AIDS crisis.  She founded Coming Home Connection in 2007.

David Brooks, Esq.

Mr. Brooks is Assistant General Counsel and a Hearing Examiner in the Oil Conservation Divisionof the New Mexico Department of Energy, Minerals & Natural Resources.  He was a judge of the District Court of Dallas County, Texas from 1987 – 1998.  He is admitted to the bar in New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal courts.  He is a member of the Rotary Club of Santa Fe.

Mr, Follinstad is a principal of Follingstad Grisham CPA LLC and has been in private practice in Santa Fe since 1978.  Prior to forming his own practice, he worked as a CPA with Cooper & Lybrands and with Peat Marwick and Mitchell (now KPMG).    Mr. Follinstad has served on the Board of several non-profit organizations including the Santa Fe Opera and the Santa Fe Children’s Museum.

Jeff Sand

Mr. Sand is a portfolio manager with the Rikoon Group. He is a certified financial planner and he has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA from the University of Arizona.

Alejandro Lopez

Alejandro López, a native New Mexican holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.  He was the director of Learning While Serving, New Mexico’s largest AmeriCorps Volunteer program in which 120 college-age students established community gardens and mentored at-risk youth in twelve northern New Mexico Communities. He was also the coordinator of Apprenticeship in Peace, New Mexico’s PeaceJam program which brought five Nobel Peace Prize Laureates to work with New Mexican youth in the creation of a more peaceful and just society.  He is a professional writer, photographer, translator and interpreter
