Generous support from the following organizations and individuals, with matching funds from the Local Funding Partnerships program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), will enable Coming Home Connection to expand services during 2010.

Con Alma Health Foundation (Nominating Foundation)

The sponsor of Coming Home Connection’s application for the RWJF Local Funding Partnerships program, Con Alma is New Mexico’s largest health foundation. It was created as a non-profit corporation in 2001 from the sale of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico, to respond to the health rights and needs of the culturally and demographically diverse peoples and communities of New Mexico. Con Alma seeks to improve the health status and access to health care services of all New Mexicans, and advocates for health policies that address the needs of all. The Foundation has awarded more than $8 million to non-profits in New Mexico since its inception.

The Daniels Fund: “Making Life Better – One Individual at a Time”

Dedicated to the life and legacy of Bill Daniels, the Daniels Fund supports non-profit organizations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, as well as programs with national impact in the areas of aging, alcohol and substance abuse, amateur sports, disabilities, early childhood education, K-12 education reform, ethics and integrity and homelessness and the disadvantaged.

Foundation for Hospice Care

The Foundation for Hospice Care’s mission is to provide awareness, educational opportunities and specialized training for caregivers and health care professionals, to better equip them in dealing with patients and familes who are confronted with issues relating to death, dying and end of life.

The McCune Foundation

The Marshall L. and Perrine D. McCune Charitable Foundation is dedicated to enriching the health, education, environment, and cultural and spiritual life of New Mexicans. The Foundation memorializes its benefactors through proactive grantmaking in the areas of arts, education, environment, health and social services. The McCune Foundation is working to stimulate economic diversity, nurture sustainability, promote advances in more reliable energy sources and bridge the economic gaps that exist in our communities, with the aim of creating wealth for all New Mexicans.

Messengers of Healing Winds Foundation

Messengers of Healing Winds Foundation is a private non-profit oprganization supporting environmental preservation and education, the fine arts, animal welfare and select social service projects in New Mexico, northwest Iowa, South Dakota and southern Florida. Over the past ten years, Messengers has given nearly $10 million to Santa Fe non-profits and nearly $3 million to groups elsewhere in New Mexico, leaving a lasting legacy of quiet but transformative philanthropy.

New Mexico Community Foundation

NMCF is a statewide endowment building and grantmaking organization that serves and invests in New Mexico’s comunities and their greatest asset…people. NMCF supports a quality of life that reflects the diverse values, traditions, beauty and dreams of New Mexico, building community wealth and relationships, and maximizing community capacity and self-reliance. Since 1983 NMCF has provided grants, technical assistance and training to many non-profits, and devloped over 140 project centers serving organizations and the grass roots community. Currenty intiatives focus on rural livelihoods and strengthening families.

St. Vincent Hospital Foundation

Affiliated with Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center (formerly St. Vincent Hospital, established in 1865), the Foundation is governed by its own board and solicits contributions and grants to meet the medical center’s needs for capital projects, major equipment, patient and community programs, education and specific areas of hospital operations.

Santa Fe Rotary Club Foundation

The Mission of the Santa Fe Rotary Club Foundation is to inspire members to give back to the Santa Fe community by providing service, support, scholarships and funding for the arts in education, and to encourage personal growth by providing funds in the form of grants. In addition to Coming Home Connection, past recipients of SFRCF grants include St. Vincent’s Hospital Foundation, La Familia Medical Center, The Santa Fe Rape Crisis Center, New Mexico Suicide Intervention Project, Santa Fe Partners in Education, Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity and the New Mexico Cancer Institute foundation.
